If you wings, this is the place to come. Growing up where wings are a stable of the everyday diet I know my wings. These are a solid B+. They have the largest variety and something for those who don't like the intense heat. The resteraunt was clean and I was happy I didn't have to run back up to the counter to get my food. (If you wave the red thing around they bring you your food) But the service was unattentive. It was a fun atmosphere and I loved playing darts and they even did a name that tune game that the entire bar played. Beer...the regular selection, nothing really above average there.

Most BW-3s are pretty forgettable, but this one stands out. A very nice building and bar area that is great for watching sporting events. They have very good beer specials all the time. I really like the good including the Chicken Fajitas and of course, the wings. The only drawback really is that since it is in Westland, the crowd tends to run fairly young there. Recommended.

the service is so-so for one reason only. they usually have a good crowd so it takes the waitresses a lot longer to get to every customer. the rest of the place is outstanding.

I stopped in during a recent visit to the area. I had a wonderful time drinking the beer Kim set up for me. I particularly liked the Maltese Cross and the Chief's Amber. Some of their beers were a little light but all were well made. The Octoberfest was very interesting in that it was the lightest tasting 7% I've ever had. Very sneaky!

I first visited Fire Academy about a year ago and was not impressed. I wen again yesterday and things have not improved much. The beer is better than it was, although several remain somewhat bland. Our table ordered 3 medium burgers and they were all well done. Waitresses are friendly but very slow. The fire house memoribilia and decor make this an interesting place to look around, but I wouldn't go for the food or the beer.

The Winter Warmer (seasonal) was excellent. Food menu is fairly standard. Not really a "hang out" type of place; just eat, drink and leave. The fire truck memorabilia definitely is a nice touch, though it can get cheesy. New Brew master is good.

Very good beers and friendly people. The new head brewer, Russ, took time to answer all of our questions and was very helpful. Will definitely return.

What a difference a competent brewer makes. I was in a year ago and was very disappointed. I was in last night and was very impressed. The new brewer (Russ Beattie) knows his beer. All were true to style and tasted great. The Dunkel Rye Weizen was top notch. If you haven't been there since Russ took over, give them a second chance.

Too much emphasis on the decor, none on beer or food. There was Bud or Miller on every table. Their own beers leave a lot to be desired. Had to return one because it was undrinkable. Too many kids working there and eating there. It's like McDonalad's with bad beer. There are many better places in SE Michigan for serious beer fans.

As a brewery owner from the Southwest, this brewery did not represent Michigan well. The selection was good and the free popcorn was nice, but the beer was very bad- The Porter is the only beer worth mentioning, but still was not "full-bodied" like stated. The bartender was very polite, but had been working there since they opened and couldn't answer ANY questions. I would not recommend this brewery to a friend.

Very marginal stuff that was either tasteless or had a bad taste. In my sampler, I had a Hefeweizen that was very good, but the waitress insisted it was an Amber and tried to bring me another Amber (let's see banana/clovey flavor, cloudy - what do you think). This caused me to leave. This place did have a great atmosphere, it just needs some help with its beer.

Beer selection is good, but the quality is lame. The pub itself is a really greatidea. Food is good.
